Yes it is definately posible at that stage. Our second daughter was born March 22 and we had the ultra sound done around the last week of November or first week of December. So at that point we were only 5 onths pregnant then and we could have found out sooner.
So if it was a boy it would probably be easier to tell.

Yes, depending on the baby's position. I was 17 weeks when I had my first ultrasound and found out that I'm having a boy. I'm now 25 weeks along.

Yes they should if the baby cooperates with its position. My doc told me sometimes you can tell as early as 15 weeks. I am 20 wks now and my ultrasound isn't scheduled until 22 wks, my doc wanted to wait longer to be sure.

You can tell at 12 weeks the gender of the baby. it's the positioning of the baby that makes gender detection tricky....Good luck and congrats!

yes. I have 4 kids. The baby has to be in the right position. Since it is still small, it has a lot of room to turn and move in, so it may be hard.

So you're about half way along! Congratulations! Yes, they should be able to tell the gender -- particularly if it's a boy.
Good Luck!
