Last I heard during conversation with somebody on the topic was that its a cool job. But, its not easy to get established.
My undertanding is that you need a degree then you need to "intern" somwhere. Pay is not all that great early in career and it could take a while to earn some good bucks.
Suggest you read the outlook the other respondent posted....
