i want to be a cheerleader but i am a bit chubby[i think anyways.], not very flexible, and well, im scared to try out. plus, idk how to get cheerleading moves at home, and idk how to get chants, i certaintly cant make them up...H E L P!!

im scared to try out but i will if i ever get good enuf! btw, i am not old enuf to go to the gym. dont you have to be 18 or something?

Don't be scared to try out, if your scared at tryouts you can't concentrate. But anyways i recommend you go to the gym or take a jog everyday. But stretch out!!! It will help you be more flexible and you won't hurt yourself! GOOD LUCK!!

I am a cheerleading coach and you should absolutely not be scared. In fact, all good cheerleading squads need a wide-variety of sized girls for stunting. I would just stretch every night and get as flexible as possible before tryouts. Don't worry so much about it, and just relax and have fun. I honestly think that you will feel worse about yourself if you don't even try. There are also cheerleading DVDs out there that you can rent or purchase that might be good to help you become better aquainted with some of the moves and give you ideas to go off of. Just a thought. I would try if I were you. It sounds like you could use a good confidence boost and that is what cheerleading does for you.

ok well i am a all-star cheerleader and it is not really that easy so what you have to do most importantly is get over your fears that is really the only thing holding you back from cheerleading. Size doesn't matter in cheerleading i know people often think cheerleaders have to be skinny but they don't and you don't have to be able to twist yourself into a pretzel to be a cheerleader. So what i am saying is just get over your fear of trying out and just go for you can do it!!!

Go to the gym everyday till you try out. the yelling part will be eazy.

just keep streching everyday and keep trying to do the splits just so you can actualy feel flexiable becuase if you actually like..FEEL good your most likely doing good.

so just keep going to the gym and streching..ull get the um..chanting thing just be loud around your house and stuff i guess haha
