It's not one of those that can easily be opened like one of those you find on a bathroom door.

A typical bedroom lock and bathroom lock are relativly easy to open even without the funky little key that goes with it.Stick a small scewdriver in the hole in the middle of the door knob. Keep it straight and feel for a slot in there and turn the screwdriver until the lock opens. And as far as getting peace,well you are on your own with that.I dont have kids,but I remember a swift kick in my *** always got my Dad all the peace he wanted.

Get a screw driver and take the lock off......call a locksmith......jimmy it with a credit card or butter knife. Need to know what kind of door knob and lock???
Some locks you can just use those little keys that come with Spam (canned meat).

Take off the piece of trim molding, the "stop" that runs vertically up the door jam that the door closes against. With this off you can reach the latch. Other than that, call a locksmith.

IF YOU HAVE A STANDARD BEDROOM LOCK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO INSERT A SMALL THIN LONG STRAIGHT SLOT SCREW DRIVER INTO THE KNOB ON THE LOCK WHEN IT HITS BOTTOM GIVE IT A TURN AND THE DOOR WILL OPEN THEN.

If there's a hole in the knob, you should be able to stick a nail in there and unlock it. You just put a little a pressure on the nail while turning the knob and it will come unlocked. That always works for me.

Paperclip opened up should do the job or a fine hair pin.
