Hi, I was just wondering what happened if you collect a purple mushroom on super mario 1 for the snes. It has a skull design on it. I was to scared to collect it. Thanks.

it kills you when you are small mario, makes you small mario when you are big mario

the poison mushroom does the opposite of a good mushroom
when you're little, a regular mushroom is a welcome site, because in a moment, a mushroom will make you feel pretty good
when you're big, a regular mushroom will keep you in such a state (will do nothing)
but!
a purple mushroom, when you're little, offers no such gifts, and quite frankly, tastes horrible. little mario will be over dramatic, and will die from such a twisted treat.
a purple mushroom to a big mario will knock mario from his high, and will restore him to his normal size - small
