The answer is : yes, unfortunately Steve Irwin died a few weeks ago.
the shows shown on Animal Planet are either episodes that were waiting to get shown anyway, or re-runs.

he really died while filming an episode for his daughter called "the ocean's deadliest". He was stung by a highly poisonous stingray directly in the heart. he thin tore out the barb, which killed him.

uh yeah where have u bee for the past month??? if youve been watching tv, then u would no by now. its a pretty sad thing to happen. of all the things that he could have been killed by ie: a crocodile, he was killed by a freakin stingray!!! :(
