Im sure you mean the Green light.. hehe
Well, first of all there are only about 5 -7 days in woman cycle she can get pregnant. This phase is usually about 10-16 days (if she has regular periods) after the first day of her period. This is called the lutheal phase.
Sperm lasts for about 5days, these ones are the female, they are slower swimmers but stronger! Boys are quicker swimmers but die easily.
Also, if your daughter in law is trying for a baby, It is recommened that she start to take folic acid before she gets pregnant. Taking folic acid after you get pregnant does nothing really. They say folic acid can prevent spinal problems in a baby which happen in the first 4-5 weeks of the fetus production. Since most people find out they are pregnant after this date. it is pointless to start then.
Having a good diet will help too. Reduce alcohol intake, reduce smoking, both parties. As it has been shown to reduce sperm count and has other effects.
I have to say when i started trying for a baby. I ate loads of Spinach, i know sounds silly but avoide raspberry teas.. Thats what i heard.. something in the anti-ox ..
Also check out this website.. fertilityfriend. Its brillant. I can always recommend it. It will help your daughter in law know her cycles and her body much better. Its a free site and only if want to upgrade do u need it.. Also moms-connected is also a good site.
good luck.. *babydust*

This is going to sound very smutty but it worked for me ! Both my children were conceived in the first month of trying. I found that and was told that .... Orgasm for both the man and the women (obviously the man !) work due to the pumping up and down movement of the cervix it dips it in so to speak, also i lied there for a while afterwards. Sex every three days or so is better than everyday as it gives the sperm production a chance.

People talk about God..Bull god has nothing to do with it it is nature. I have a zero - low sperm count and my wife and I tried for 3 years before we were tested and found this out. We now say if it happens it happens if not we will wait till our time on the IVF register comes up. We also know that no matter how small there is still a chance that we may become pregnant natuaraly. What the hell has god got to do with anything?

I think that was totally inappropriate!!! I don't care how strong her mothering instinct was that was just wrong and uncalled for. You wouldn't let your baby drink out of another babies bottle or on someones finger, sorry I don't think someone elses breast was much different. Even if she is breast feeding her own child you don't know what kind of medications she could have taken, etc. Besides that she isn't his mother. She shouldn't be sticking her breast in anyother child's mouth but her own. I can see how you would feel like he was violated! That just blows my mind!!! While there really isn't much you can do about it now, I wouldn't leave him alone with her again. Wow, I can't imagine how anyone would think that would be OK.

Maybe they are trying too hard. That's only 24 chances of a 'hit', they might need to relax, trying for a baby can take over and be all they can fosus on, a holiday might help. So many women get pregnant when they stop trying.

Well I don't quite know weather they were told they can concieve or not but if they can but are having trouble, One of the things I know she can do is to track her ovulation and when it's around the corner start taking dimatap(the over the counter cold medicine). It's suppose to help lossen everthing to help make it easier to concieve.
The other peice of advice I can give them is to stop trying. If your trying to hard it makes conception that much harder.

Some things i've heard:
drink plenty of water (man and woman). this just makes everything work properly for a woman, and increases sperm "efficiency" for a man
tell the man (and possibly the woman) to avoid using radiation/radio wave transmittion near his (or her) genitals. the wifi signals of a laptop can (temporarily) reduce sperm rate for a man. this is bad if you're TRYING to get pregnant.
go easy on the alcohol (of course)
this is what i've heard. good luck!

Don't try too hard, or too often. Wear loose fitting underclothes and trousers (him) cut out alcohol, cigarettes and spicy food for a while (both), stay laying down for a while after sex preferably with hips raised on a pillow (her).
Good luck to them!!
