what is the slight hissing sond i hear from under my 1999 olds silohette and why does it make my temp go up?

Well it is telling you have a small leak. It is loosing the antifreeze from a hole in one of the hoses.
Have it pressure checked at a radiator shop. If you dont the leak will get worse and blow the hose. it will over heat and you will loose all the radiator fluid and blow the engine.
