what is Hinduism's Modern Day traditions?

It would help if you were slightly more specific, but being a Hindu myself, I can try to help out. Modern day Hindus still have a caste system, although not quite as strict as it was in ancient times. We still worship the same gods we did in ancient times, a system of polymorphic monotheism (which means one god with many forms, contrary to the popular belief that hindus are polytheistic). Even in America, different Indian societies have celebrations during pujas. Although there are more people that are not quite as religious as in olden days, the majority of people still are and worship the same way we have for hundreds of years. Except for a little technology (maybe sometimes play a cd of religious music instead of having live musicians) everything is still the same. I hope that helps some.

My question for your american history class....Was it right for us to ethnically cleanse an entire race of indigenous people, and just because its history, can we be justified in carrying on doing this to its remaining ancestors?
