I'd say no, not over the span of his contract, or what his signing meant to the organization. Its obviously a killer not to have him pitching this post season, but his signing was the catalyst for beltran, and allowed the mets to develop their team to what it is right now.

He will be missed this year and next, but when the mets sign Barry Zito in the offseason, it will be tolerated

Without Pedro... they don't attract the free agents they have signed.

Without Pedro they would surely not be in the playoffs.

The only thing the Mets regret is that he is not healthier.

The Mets have the cash to sign big money guys and deal with their 75% availability.

Heck yes. Everybody was saying the Mets were making a mistake when they made the deal. Now the Mets are understanding why. But they have money to burn, just watch out for the Braves next year.

yes, i think so. I know he can be a great help to our pitching, but because of his ceaseless injuries, he has been a burden more than a help. The mets are paying him millions a year, and they really have nothing to show for it.
