My daughter has got on computer and now I have an unwanted blinking icon in the lower righthand screen, by the time/clock. When clicked on it is something about virusburst. What I need to know is how to uninstall this. Would someone please help? I'm not real computer smart, but I can follow directions.

right click on it, it should have an off feature. Then in Windows:click on "Start" then on "RUN" then type in "msconfig" click on the "Startup" tab uncheck it, and click ok or apply. Goto to the control panel and then to "Add Remove programs" find it on the list and follow screen directions to remove it.

Long term, you need to get a computer friend, and ask them to show you, a reformat, as it solves all. Its complicated, but you get caught in a trap of paying for anti this and that software, otherwise. It basically resets your pc, so nothin survives. Viruses and stuff linger, after hours of complicated trying...you may find an answer, but the best one, is to form a real frienship, with someone who can come and show/help you....maybee you can cook em dinner! as a bribe?

Click on the start button and then click on Control panel, after that, when you get to that screen, you will see something that says Add or remove programs.. Then click on that and then search for it and it will give you and option to remove it and you click on the button that says change/remove..

the thing that i know about that that most of programs put this like in the taskbar to offer you a fast link to it so if this "thing that you spock about appears " in your task bar it may be a prog so go to the "add\remove" list any try to remove it "start menu>control panel>add or remove programs>click on the prog you wanna to remove >and follow the directions
