My friend lives in Charlotte NC and she has a son in the 4th grade. He is in desparate need of a tutor. She has exhausted all of the shcool's resouses and her son needs help. Does any body know of a free tutor she can take her son too, so he can get the help he needs.

Check thoroughly again with the school system. They often have a "homework hotline" or free tutors that can meet them in the library. Also, putting an ad up in a supermarket or in the newspaper might help. You might get someone studying to be a teacher that would like the experience.

How has the school "exhausted all resources?" She needs to speak with someone from that school disctrict as the school should be offering some kind of tutorial program. Otherwise, (and this is jumping the gun) she may need to have her child evaluated for specialized services. She should try placing an ad in her local newspaper for tutorial assistance. If it's her child's education, money should not be much of an issue. Further, tell her to check with the local high school. Sometimes, students need to complete community service and that could be considered comm. service.

Some teachers may offer after or before school upon request. Your friend mabye should ask her son's teacher if they can do this. Hope this helps!
