I want to put an image on a shirt, I was going to use hp transfer paper with my hp inkjet printer. I did a little research and I found that there was the same transfer paper but this one was ideal for color fabrics. If I want to put an image on a black shirt does that mean I would have to buy the color fabric transfer paper or would it not make a difference. I rather not buy the coor fabric one because it costs more!!

From experience, using transfer paper always looks worse than you envision it to, and there isn't much you can do to make it look better. If the image you want on a shirt is either one color or black and white, print it out backwards, and buy a transfer pen, they come in a couple different colors, but I have used black ones. They are around $4 at craft stores, and you copy over the design with the pen, then iron the paper, image side don, on a t-shirt, and the image is transferred permanently. I've done a couple shirts that I've stained and put a design on to cover up the stain, and they work fantastically, and don't fade much.
