yes it's a good thing, it suppose to increase your mileage a little. if it was proven dangerous they wouldn't offer the option. my husband has nitrogen in his tires but they are really big tires, the man that filled them for him said it's like helium, it makes the tire just a little lighter and therefore increasing mileage.

I've never heard of that before - yes - I'd definitely either get new tires or get that nitrogen out of there - Nitrogen is very explosive, or that's what I've always heard . I'd be afriad to even drive the car - seriously. I'd have it towed to where ever your getting it checked at or just get new tires and sell the Nitrogen tires if need be - maybe your mechanic would want them

Remove the nitrogen and replace with standard air as soon as possible....car tires are not designed to use nitrogen and this will damage the tires, decrease the traction the vehicle has and endanger the lives of anyone in it....

Nitrogen stays in the tire longer, in otehr words you will not need to add air to them as often.

probably wont make much difference since the air that we breathe is almost 80% nitrogen.

bigger molecule should not leak out as fast. you check them with a gauge just like with air..and you can add air if they are low.
