why do i get such awful cramps in my stomach, as well as strange parts of my body such as pain in my foot, my fingers, legs, etc, during my menstrual cycle?

i am even taking birth control pills (for my acne), and altho the cramps are less than usual, they are still fairly uncomfortable :(

Sorry, i don't know WHY some people get them; I get cramps as well; really bad, like, I'm practically passing out. Taking the Pill isn't such a good idea from what I've heard. What really works for me (when I take it, I have practically no pain whatsoever) is either taking a teaspoon of flaxseed oil each day, or an evening primrose oil capsule twice a day. As well as improving the pain, it really helps with your skin (acne).

Something else to try is avoiding chocolate, chips, and other junk foods for about a week before it all starts.

it is deferred pain, I will usually have a hard time waling if I am having cramps, the pain will go all the way to my knees. I also retain water & have found that if I take a water pill then my joints won't ache.

aches and pains are normal and vary from person to person.

Try a new pill or take period pain tablets such as naprogesic...it really helps!

well, everybody's body is different. my cramps shoot from my stomach all the way down to me toes sometimes. it's even to the point that i cant walk because putting pressure on my feet hurts like CRAP!!!!!!! but i think it's just your body responding differently to your cramps. but if it worries you that much, i think you should go ahead and visit a doctor to make sure. GOOD LUCK!

My wife lays down for three days a month while she has hers its so bad. An anti inflammation pill helps but she gets them bad, consider your self to be lucky in a way.

Sometimes my whole body aches when I get my period, kinda like flu symptoms. I assume it has to do with the hormones.
