No, most moms gain 25-35 lbs. by full term. Of course you could give or take a few pounds. Based on knowing that you're 29 weeks and you've gained 16 pounds, that seems right on track. Of course, Britney Spears gained 60 lbs with her first pregnancy. But that's Britney Spears:) Good luck!

Hell no. Most doctors say that 25-30pounds is a good weight gain during pregnancy. With my first child, I weighed 130 starting, and the night I delivered I weighed 209. My doctor never once said a word about my weight. This time, I was 6 months along and had only gained 5 pounds. My doc was ready to put me on an IV. Now, at 33 weeks, I have gained 26 pounds altogether and my doctor tells me not to gain anymore weight and my baby is estimated to gain at least 3 1/2 more pounds. I choose not to worry too much about what the doctor says about my weight. I feel fine and as long as I have a healthy baby, that is all that matters to me. My hubby still finds me attractive, even more so now that I am preggers and I can always lose the excess weight.

No doesn't seem it..but then again I'm only 23 weeks and have gained 32 lbs already. With my first I gained over 40lbs...
I have a problem with heartburn but what pregnant women doesnt right? For a while I was eating a lot more often and I think that's why I gained so much weight. The meds I was put on for heartburn can only be taken twice a day and I need it more then that and so I was eating a lot to try to keep the heartburn under control. I didn't eat a lot when I wasnt pregnant and suddenly I was. So don't feel bad about 16lbs at 29 weeks. That's pretty good if you ask me

I had no plans to have any soreness alleviation except gas/air and a tens device and became very fortunate that i had an effortless very quick labour yet i'm very laid again and comfortable and became all being pregnant. NO that is not too much! I was 110 when I got pregnant...5'2". I am 39 weeks and weigh 140. Ask your doctor what is considered underweight for your height and then you can figure out from there how much will be too much. I was "underweight" and was told I would gain anywhere from 28-35 pounds! You are doing fine from what I could tell...another 10-15 won't hurt you. Just remain somewhat active and you will drop it all easily. To make you feel any better, my weight gain is all baby belly and breasts.

Honey, I am 5'3 and weighed 115lbs before I got pregnant. The morning I went into labor I weighed 169. I had pre-eclampsia so most of that was water, about 30lbs of it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it was a problem the doctor would've said something to you.

You're totally fine. You will lose a few pounds in the last week or 2 of pregnancy. Just have a healthy diet and try to moderately exercise (go for a walk) daily.
GOOD LUCK!

Relax. You are doing fine. You should expect to put on about 20-30 pounds in weight during pregnancy. When the baby comes, the weight will fall off, especially if you breastfeed.
Good luck with your baby.
