Ahhh...-sigh- I was born to answer this question. Scorpio stares are electrifying and truly magnetic. Its so seductive! They have cat eyes! They have piercing x-ray eyes! When they stare, it feels like they can see right through your soul. They'll stare at you without blinking their eyes. You, on the other hand, will feel uncomfortable and uneasy around him. Try, as you might, to hide your feelings, this man was born to unearth everything that’s in the hidden realm. There is an old saying…no one knows you better than yourself? Well, meet your competition because here is one sign that knows you better than you know yourself. I promise you. I find this part very rude but I don’t think they realize it. I don't know how they do it. Its part of who they are.
My one and only dearest, whom I was seeing for 4 years, was in fact a true Scorpio and so is my current craze. Their shared similarities never fail to surprise me. The only difference is that the older Scorpion, after years of experience, has learned to control his emotions while the younger Scorpion is a manifestation of all Scorpion traits in action. They both have the Scorpio stare down to an art. I am sure there were times when he was staring at you for a long time but you didn’t realize until few minutes after he was done x-raying your entire being. They leave you wanting for more. I think you’ll regret not getting together with Scorpios many years after he’s out of your life. At least that’s how I feel about it. That's just how it is in most Scorpio/Taurus relationships.
Also, the feelings have to be mutual. Do you think you left the same impression on him? Are you two still in contact? Good luck trying to forget about him.. =-/

Mostly if the Scorpio is on the Ascendant do I witness the "Scorpio Stare". I would bet your friend is a Scorpio ascendant as well as a Scorpio sun sign. My Mother was a triple signed Scorpio. Ascendant, Sun and Moon all three in the sign of Scorpio and she had the STARE that you are talking about.
I would think that Pluto located in the first house or in aspect to the ascendant would also cause the Power of a Scorpio Stare.
My experience of it was that it was a piercing gaze that could stop you in your track. As a beauty accent it is extremely capativating in a mesmerizing way!

well I'm a female Scorpio and guys seem to be attracted to my eyes all the time... I've got extremely light blues eyes that tend to change from light blue to green and sometimes even grey. I don't try to stare at people and i get very uncomfortable when people stare into my eyes. I do have a way with guys though. I really never thought much about it. I do however have guys always trying to come back into my life. I never knew other Scorpios had this same thing happen to them. When i read your question I finally got an understanding of what others must be thinking and feeling.

Yes, knocked me silly.... and I'm a scorpio so even I am not immune....They have an intensity in the eyes....It's because they can't hide what they want - (to love, possess, attack). Unfortunately, they get what they want a lot, and thus will coldly move on to the next conquest.
