i found it on the stairs in the world trade center

ummm didn't the world trade centers kinda you know get hit and fall down. how long ago did you find this ipod. cause its been 5 years since they were actually stand. if you have had it that long then there would be really no other thing but to do then keep it cause its been 5 years and I'm sure the person already got a new one now. but if you found it recently (which would sound weird since the trade centers aren't there any more. (unless you mean the memorial ) ) but if you didn't find it recently look through it to see if has any contacts and then report it to the police. you always have to do the right thing cause in the end it will pay off and if you don't do they right thing you will have to live with that guilt the rest of you life.

The PROPER thing to do is turn it into the lost and found/customer service desk of the building where you found it.
The smart thing- Keep it. It's not right but I'm sure you have worked hard all your life to be a good person and it's time you caught a break.

Try to find the owner with the serial number through the website they have. If you have no luck after a reasonable amount of time I guess you have a free IPod.

well if you found in in a store/mall/etc you should take it to the lost and found, and if you found it in public I guess keep it. But good luck actually enjoying it, oh ps, the cord that you will need to put music on it costs about 60 bucks..enjoy!
