i went to the microsoft website and they want to charge like $200 to download it. that's crazy.

i just bought this computer and it has windows XP on it and i thought it would have excel on it, but it doesn't, but i need it for school.

anyone know where i can get it??

College computer stores often have student versions of Microsoft Office for $5-15 bucks. Check yours.

If you go to OpenOffice.org, that's not .com, they have an office suite which is equivalent to MicroSoft Office and it's free. It includes a spreadsheet program and will even read and write MS files!
