its not only the time but the quality of the study. If you review your notes after class, then read the book, and then learn the material in little chunks day by day by the time you take the test it will be so much easier and the grade will only depend on how well you manage the information you have learned.

It's not quantity but quality. I have worked with students that spend hours upon hours copying and writing terms and definitions. Although they have studied for hours they typically fail the test because they can't answer anything other than definitions. When you study you should make-up examples, describe, compare & contrast concepts, make charts. This will allow you to gain a thorough understanding of the knowledge and you will be prepared regardless of the type of questions. Other recomendations are to review notes on a weekly basis, take chapter quizzes in your text, and find study buddies. If you study smart you will actually be able to study more in a shorter period of time. Good luck.

Not really. It's al about your grasping power.
If you understand what the next person understands in 6 hours, you must appreciate yourself for doing that in 3 hours.
However, if you studying for 6 hours on a stretch, you tend to lose your concentration and then start feeling sluggish and in the end you end up remembering nothing.
If you study for 3 hours; take a break; come back and all you need to do is revise.. need not study hard.

I think studying for less will make it better because if you study for a very long time you're bound to get bored and side tracked. So study for a shorter time and stay focused and after you've had enough take a break and come back in like 30 minutes.

I don't think so. I hardly ever study and I'm a straight A student. I find that studying makes me lose my focus. If it's a really important test I'll look over the material, but not very often.

not probable. it rather is slightly of the two. For ex., possible get an A whether you do not study and that i don't mean cheating. in case you fairly don't comprehend the project handy, then i prefer to propose you to do a great style of paintings on that project or you will get a nasty grade. in case you realize, then you definately do not would desire to pay interest on that and might paintings with extra time on different issues which you do not understand. For ex., in case you realize addition and you realize the thank you to do it, yet you do not understand multiplication, you will desire to paintings on multiplication better than addition.

quality is also a factor. you can spend six hours of halfassing but it won't be better than three hours of real studying.
