with a music style similar to the original Jewel mixed with Alanis Morisette and kind of earthy like India Arie? What type of style should she have and do you think she would be successful?

I think if you're going to be successful you should just be you. Sing what you like and dress how you want to.

Go for it!

Seriously, anyone can do rock music and the rock music scene needs more diversity anway.

Hmm...I'm thinking female fronted rock with good beats...kinda like Robots In Disguise, only more listener friendly. Well, friendly to this listener anyway. Throw in some KT Tunstall type effects and vocal stylings and you've got a surefire hit in my opinion.

anyone can get away with singing rock, so I think you could. If you do an Morisette you could sing about a lot more issues, being biracial you can sing about feminism, racism.

Morisette and Jewel are feminists, but I know a lot of females that wouldn't want to sing about women's issues.

keep it original and personal.

Well, I never liked these artists, however, why shouldn't rock music be sang by a biracial person? I say we are all mixed, and it's the rocking soul of a true talent that keeps the music alive...if you would mix those singing elements, I guess you only get alternative.

Don't worry about your race, just sing!
Ronnie Spector did a good job on Eddie Money's song.
Donna Summer wanted to sing rock but never did because of her race, don't make that mistake!

I think she would be succesful as long as she was talented and determined.as for style, she should choose her own, whatever she's comfortable with. Go for it, a new type of music would be cool.

And who cares what race you are? The lead singer of Sevendust is African American.
