Didn't know they existed when I had my 6 home births (last one 17 years ago). But I designed and had my husband build me a similar thing for my 2nd home birth and used it repeatedly. It really helped. Squatting is definitely the natural way to go--- the stool provides support and a place to rest, especially between contractions. Thanks for alerting me to them--- I'll buy one for the births of my grand-kids, if the Moms want. (Water births are also good)
