Looking for a 'different' 4-5 day winter holiday, including Christmas, in a destination that's easy to get to Spain from. Preferably somewhere warm and exciting. Reccomendations?

I stayed in La Manga one christmas and it was boiling you can fly to Murcia or Alicante airports.

Depends what you're after. Malta is call the Sunshine Island as it is hot all year round.. however no where near Spain.. I'd recommend Barcelona.. It's completley awsome, full of culture, sights, shopping, fantastic food, beaches. You want Spain.. that's my favorite place in the Med and I've been to most places in the Med

Portugal
Absolutely love the place, u can either visit one of many beaches i.e Estoril, Cascais or Porto. YOu can go to one of many places like Porto, Madeira, Faro, Lisboa & Lagos. All really nice places & still a lil warm.
You've got to see Cristo Rei though, very nice & especially the view from the Lisbon bridge.

Nerja about an hour up the coast from Malaga, and stay for the New Year til 4th of Jan when it's Festival of The Kings!!

in spain Barcelona, in las ramblas, but valencia must be great to...near spain if you want warm go to portugal, but if no warm try france somwhere near the alps, finally i recomende sessto a little village in italy near the border with Italy, beautifull

Two years ago I spent Christmas in Malaga, Spain.
I would suggest that because it was very warm and the city is lovely.

Go to the French Basque Country, it's wonderful: nice people, beautiful sea and mountains and good food
