It is not uncommon at your age for periods to be "on their own" schedule. If you took the test and it is negative, than most likely you are not pregnant. Being pregnant at 16 would bring about unbelievable changes in your life. If you are in fact not pregnant, it should be a wake up call for you about your activities. Being a mom is hard at any age, but unbelievably so if you haven't finshed school yet. Good luck sweetie and I hope everything turns out ok for you.

How long have you had your period? It could be just not regulated yet since your only 16. If it doesn't come in a few days or maybe in the next 2 weeks I would call the doctor to get it worked out. Also, maybe you should take another pregnancy test.

Well, it depends on when you took your pregnancy test. It can take up to 6 weeks for the HCG levels in your urine to get to high enough levels to test positive. Now, you can stress about pregnancy enough to actually cause your period to be late. SO, I suggest you relax, wait until at least 6 weeks past when you had sex, get another test and take it with the very first urine of the morning (when levels are at their highest.) If you are pregnant, contact me. I was pregnant with my oldest at 16.. its not the end of the world! Hard, yes, but not the end of the world! I am 25 now and she is 8, and we are the best of friends as well as having a wonderful mother-daughter relationship!

If you just started your period chances are its not regular. If you started your period over a year ago and your usually pretty regular then something could be wrong. Stress can make you miss a period. If you took a pregnancy test, maybe you should take another one just in case. If it comes out negative I wouldnt worry about it. If it doesnt come next month, make an appointment to see or OBGYN. Hope this info helps

It may just be that your period is irregular - that does happen sometimes.
Pregnancy tests can be wrong, though. Going to a doctor would be the best way to make sure. However, you'll *never* have to worry about this again, if you stop having sex until you're married! :) Teenagers have enough worries, why add more to the mix??

Maybe taking the pregnancy test was too soon... Try given yourself a week or two and try again.. Try using First Response, that is pretty good because this is how I found out that I was pregnant without getting missing my period.

its possible that your period just isnt permanent yet but it is also possible you could be pregnant...if you are more than 5 days late i suggest taking another test...if it still says negative call the doctor and have a blood test done...if you arent pregnant then they should be able to tell you if something else is wrong.

if u used protection u probably arent but there is always a chance that u can be with sex. it is probably to soon to take a test wait a couple weeks and then take a test. if u arent pregeant then u r just delaying it coming by stressing about it.

If youre stressing over the situation then it might delay your period. Wait a week and if it doesnt come see your doctor.
