I need help, i am in pain...i used a tweezer to get a hair out from under my arm...that was a few days ago...now i have a bump that's very visible under my arm and it hurts to put my arm down or up. if i use a heating pad, will the bump go away...it's underneath the skin..it's the size of a golfball. my sister thought it was a cyst put i doubt it is as it does not move around underneath the skin and it's very painful...i think i just irriated it so much from picking hairs that now i have a bump underneath...if i put heat on it...will it go down?

You need to see a doc ASAP! Heat will help for a while, but you really need to have the doc take a look and possibly lance it. They should send the contents to the lab for culture. Whatever you do DO NOT POP IT! You are at increased risk for infection.

I had a bump under my arm last year and it was positive for MRSA. 2 weeks of antibiotics.

that really sounds painful.i doubt it would be a cyst if it came up after you plucked so I'll go with you as it most likely is from irritation,,i would put warm wash cloth on it ,,as warm as you can take it as maybe something has built up in there along with the irritation and the heat will help to draw anything out but don't try to squeeze or you'll push it further inward.....

There are lymph nodes in that area...you might want to see a doctor if it does not go away

It may be an ingrown hair. That has happened to me in that spot and it hurts like heck. I was finally able to pop out the hair and pull it out.

if you put heat on it, it will bring it to a head and be able to pop quicker. when it pops, put alcohol on it to clean it and keep it clean. It will go away at some point.
