Why do the catholicks adore him so much? And the virgin mary? How about when they think they see her in a tree stump? Or a piece of toast. Ladies and Gentlemen, this type of behaviour is Idolitry, which God says is wrong. Hey Catholicks, I hear there is a beer bash at church this weekend......LOL. Party on Garth.....

+ The Pope +

Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:17-19)

The Catholic Church believes the Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the "rock" of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock.

Pope Benedict XVI is the direct successor of Simon Peter and the senior pastor of 1.1 billion Catholics.

+ Mary and the Saints +

Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.

The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.

Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.

As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.

Prayer to saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.

+ With love in Christ.

There is a Virgin Mary tree stump maybe 30 minutes from me. It's on state land. The idolators built a ramshackle shelter around it which is now caving in apparently. Some volunteer just went to Home Depot and spent $600 on materials to rebuilt the shelter. I was contemplating going to see it. I should take my chain saw and put an end to the problem.

Is defacing an old, rotten stump any sort of crime?

"plastic Jesus" sung by billy idol

I don’t care if it
Rains or freezes
As long as I’ve got my
Plastic Jesus
Ridin’ on the dashboard
Of my car

Through my trials
And tribulations
And my travels
Through the nation
With my plastic Jesus
I’ll go far

Ridin’ down the thoroughfare
With a nose up in the air
A wreck may be ahead
But he don’t mind

Trouble comin’
He don’t see
He just keeps his eye on me
And any other thing that lies behind

Chorus
With my plastic Jesus
Goodbye and I’ll go far
I said with my plastic Jesus
Sitting on the dashboard of my car

When I’m in a traffic jam
He don’t care if I say damn
I can let all my curses roll

‘Cos Jesus’ plastic doesn’t hear
‘Cos he has a plastic ear
The man who invented plastic
Saved my soul

wow such basic vulgarity, we see the pope as the leader of the church , and we recognize Mary and call her holy, as the bible says one should. when we see these images they are called miracles
