I live in Southern California, and every September and October we get these big orange/red/brownish spiders. I can never find information about them online.

They're probably orb weavers/garden spiders/argiope. They're usually really large, but harmless. They can't pierce human skin to bite us, so don't worry. They just look ominous. Sit back and enjoy their beauty. They cannot hurt you. They can be seen all over the country in the fall, but with differing colors.

i live in southern California too, and i cant remember the name of the spider... i read about it somewhere but i remember that it is poisonous and can be deadly so be careful.
