First off, the first poster is full of crap.
Secondly, you will probably get an ultrasound soon to check everything out, and if you want to find out what you are having, this ultrasound will be the one to do so. At 28 weeks you will get your Diabetes Test done where you drink gluclose. Those are the only 2 tests that I can think of. If you are over the age of 35 you might go in for an Amniocentesis test.

The only things my OBGYN did at 23 weeks was take my weight, blood pressure, have me pee in a cup (to test for various things), measured my belly, listened to the babies heartbeat, and asked if I had any questions.
I had my first ultrasound at 20 weeks and my glucose test at 27 weeks.
NOTE: I have NEVER heard of them doing internal exams of the vagina unless a problem is indicated at 23 weeks. They won't start those until probably 30 weeks at the earliest (didn't start mine until 34.) They won't give you the group B strep test then either (they won't do that until between 34-36 weeks)

First of all, they will schedule you for a sonogram. They do a depotone to hear the baby's heartbeat. They will take some blood to run some tests and they might do a glycerin check. If it's your first check up with this doctor, they will probably do a pap.
