I believe it is easy for family to become the enemy because there is such a close bond. When you have such a close bond, it means that you have standards, confidence, and expectations for/in that person. Because of this, when a loved one does something you disapprove of, it's not like when someone else does it. When a loved one does this it is as if the sky is fallen, it is a huge betrayl of trust when it may not even be a big deal. This is even worse when living with these people as when you have a lapse in communication or some other issue, you cannot take the space you need to recover. Also, since there are so many expectations, when a mistake is made, a family member cannot help but offer suggestions and opinions, but these are in effect just poking repeatedly at an open wound given that people know right from wrong and when they've made mistakes. And so it is that a small and normal problem spirals out of control into enimity.

Your attitude and your imagination makes them your enemies otherwise it is impossible for a mother and a sister to behave like enemy to their own son and brother. Your wife tells you the story of misbehaving of your mother and sister and you forget all those years which you have spent with you mother and sister and immediately start thinking that they are your enemy. Try to look into the matter as a third person not like a son/brother or husband view and than you will find out whose fault is it.

Everyone one of us is an individual and we take birth in families by the will of the Lord in fulfillment of our karma. The spirit souls who are you sisters, brothers, father, mother, etc. have had some past connection with you in some way in a previous life. Perhaps you were your sister's and mother's enemy previously and now the table has been turned. Or perhaps you wronged those spirit souls in the past and now you are reaping the result.

To end all of this karmic reaction, we must dedicate all energy to service of the Supreme Lord, bhakti-yoga. As long as we have some good or bad karma to reap, we must take birth again in this material world. When all our karma has been burned off, we can end the cycle of birth and death and become qualified to get our spiritual bodies.

This is one of the proof that birth is Karmic. The planets representing your mother and sisters would be in adverse positions to your ascendant lord(particularly they would be in the 6th house of enemies or associated with the 6th lord in some way). This happens due to an old outstanding feud of previous births. When 5th lord and 7th lord are friendly to the ascendant lord wife and son will be friendly

Is it not a change in your perception that family for you now means wife and son and not your sister and mother. Very difficult to allow for a person to change his priorities and this loss brings out the perceived bad behaviour in us

Because of expectations from each other and the close proximity. Conflicting interests lead to resentment. Resentment related to how things should be. If someone feels that their decision has been undermined he/she feels bad. Man/Woman is selfish by nature and that is the natural survival instinct.

I think that all people need at least a room of their own to stay away from conflicts with others, meditate in peace when time is available. If we try to develop a yearning for human contact by conciously avoiding it, at times, then we are likely to cherish poeple when they are around us.

Yeah that's weird, I get in fights with my sisters a lot, because they annoy me and I annoy them, Different ages usually. Mothers and Daughters, well, sometimes a mom wants her kid to do something they don't want to do and annoy the CRAP OUT OF THEM! OR sometimes Mothers wake you up at like 8 in the morning saying "Time for Breakfast, Take a shower and get ready for school." or something, if it was a sister then they jump on the bed or they are listening to music and wake you up which makes you mad..

Personal experience here. My mother treated me like crap, like I didn't deserve anything good in life, like I was ignorant, ugly, obese, and she looked the other way while I was abused. She let it happen and didn't care. She prayed over me to stop being evil, when all I wanted to do was be a normal teen. She then sued me and garnished my wages when I left her. She was so toxic. Now that she is out of my life forever. YEAH!!!! I finally have some self esteem and a normal life. So that is why.

No one become enemies. Whatever it is, if your dad dosent like u, if your mother dosnet care for you. Still you have to respect them, atleast you should be thankful to them that because of them you are in this world. Otherwise you are a drop of sperm which can be found in the bathroom or in a piece of condom. So, dude love your parents. If you love your parents, God will love you otherwise vice-versa.
