As a red-headed guy, I think my wife would take exception to your theory. Also, I don't find red-headed girls attractive, they remind me of my sister. Your theory sucks.

Redheaded girls have an air of mystery about them that I as a guy find attractive from the first look.
I can't answer why girls aren't attracted to redheaded guys because I have brown hair.

I think it's just a matter of preference and what physically attracts someone to another person. I've always been very attracted to men with brown or dark hair. I have dated very few that are blond because I'm just not attracted to them. Just like some women like tall men while others like shorter ones, or athletic builds while others prefer just thin....etc...

i think red headgirls are sexy kinda FIREY lol but red hair is usually accompanied by freckles and too many freckles is a bad thing. although a little is kinda cute tho. I AM A MAN by the way black hair tho. red hair guys tend to be pretty dorky lookin especially in movies. the Sherminator american pie, the fat kid from that soccer movie with rodney dangerfield, the kid from the harry potter movies. doesnt work very well with guys but girls work it. julianne moore umm spidemans girl, the girl from unhappily ever after. so guys = bad, girls = good
