if your preparing yourself to fall pregnant a folic acid tablet is usually helpful to assist in the unliklihood of having birth defects. I used Elevit which you can take whilst trying to conceive, during pregnancy and through breat feeding. the only thing i found with this is your poo is a greeny/black colour because of the iron in it(any iron tablets do this to people) but also it is a vitamin supplemtent specifically designed for women who wish to fall pregnant. Cost about $17-$20 australian dollars for a months supply. well worth it, i have 2 beautiful daughters. Speaking to a GP or Pharmacist would be best prior to falling pregnant. I've never heard of them causing sickness if anything I found it help pregnancy sickness (morning/noon and night).

Its a good thing to take vitamins when you are trying to conceive. All its going to do is put more vitamins in your body that you could be lacking. If they make you feel sick try taking that before you go to sleep that helps with me.

Prenatal vitamins do not have the same effect on every woman. I was TTC, (succeeded 4 1/2 weeks) and took them they did/ do not make me feel nauseous.

I took prenatal vitamins before i got pregnant, and they made my stomach hurt a little, but its because there is a lot of iron in them. too much iron can make your stomach upset. i recommend taking them with food, or before you go to sleep. I always take mine right after dinner. (by the advice of my obgyn)

Prenatal vitamins are supposed to be good for you no matter if you are pregnant or not. When I was trying to grow my hair out long, I took them, and they helped my hair to be stronger and to grow faster.

They are good all-around multi-vitamins. Lots of non pregnant people take them. I don't see why they would make you sick.

It's quite possible, some people respond differently to vitamins, best advice is to consult a doctor!!!

Take folic acid if trying to conceiev, apparently it helps the body to adjust to pregnancy!

They dont make you sick - its the pregnancy that does that

Good Luck x

Some brands vary so you might want to check with your doctor on which one would work best for you. With my 2nd child they put me on Natael and they messed with my vision (though pregnancy in itself does that). I'm currently pregnat with my 3rd and switched brands and have not had any issues at all.

It is recommended to start taking them when you start trying to conceive.
