in simple terms as in a bull marketplace there are classes of a few days to each and every week with adverse returns, so is the option authentic in a undergo marketplace. (For you Obama voters, a bull marketplace is a regular upward trend, and a undergo marketplace is a regular downward trend.) the reason this happens is a few thing said as 'earnings taking'. What this skill is that when the marketplace is operating up you may have human beings promote a number of their stocks and close out positions as a fashion to fasten in salary. even as the marketplace is falling, short-sellers in certain situations do a similar challenge. also in certain situations those who were sitting on the sidelines will choose it to be a procuring risk and receives in. After salary are taken, the marketplace resumes the better trend. do not imagine that is the bottom. how you could call a turnaround is to look ahead to even as no one else is attempting to anymore. keep in mind the 'good previous days'? A twelve months or 2 in the past human beings were publishing books with titles like 'DOW 40,000'. The pundits had in reality given up attempting to call the right and were in simple terms operating with it. same challenge got here about in simple terms earlier the tech crash in 2000. This habit isn't even unique to stocks - keep in mind television shows like 'turn That homestead'? Markets turn round even as all those who's going to purchase has offered, or maybe as all those who's going to promote has offered. If all and sundry. all and sundry. remains attempting to assert that that is the point the position we turn the nook.... that's no longer. EDIT: I in simple terms said some thing very exciting. even as the marketplace is collapsing on a ordinary foundation, particularly days even as Obama opens his mouth, properly, then the marketplace's only a monitoring poll, why, the president has no administration or effect over the markets in any respect! and the inventory marketplace isn't a correct degree of the monetary equipment besides! yet lo and behold it shows gains for 3 days and OH WOW the stimulus is operating like a charm and Obama's on a roll and each and every thing is -outstanding-! and how are those recommend, nasty, terrible Republicans going to spin Obama's excellent rescue of the markets right into a adverse? It would not take a genius to work out that those viewpoints are at the same time unique. So, it quite is it?

Since the whole purpose of news media is to create the idea of a "dangerous environment" constantly in the public mind, this seems an unlikely experiment. But you are right in your basic theory.
Better to just stop listening, watching and reading the news for one week..... and see how much better you feel ! Prove it that way. Then promote the idea to your friends.
I've already tried it and the effect is I feel tons better and my attention is not distracted and my outlook much more positive. I am happier more effective and focussed.

Nice optimistic question. People would probably turn off the TV or radio because all the positivity sickens them.

I would be ecstatic. Unfortunately, good news doesn't "sell newspapers" and, aside from their biases, the broadcasters are driven by one thing - profit.

I think it would greatly effect people...I think people would feel safer... and the veiw that people are develping, that the world is too messed up to matter would subside. People are very susceptible to what the are told and what the hear.

no one would watch - the world is a messy, violent place. News pretending otherwise would simply be a lie and would not be trusted or watched

I think the media would lose their audiences because it would be boring to people accustomed to what they report now.
