I was wondering if you can record (using sound recorder) anything goling through your sound playback (or what you hear through your speakers.) Is there a way, by changing devices, or changing what you record? If there is a free program that can do it, that would work as well.

Thanks in advance =)

Program from TotalRecorder.com can record what is going through your sound card.

You can hook up any recorder that uses the same male connector as your speakers to the sound card on your computer. Alternately, you can record directly from the line, but that may get tricky depending on the origin of the sound.

Yes. Audacity is a free recording program that seems to work just fine for me http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
