If the historic powers of the world and their respective leaders, took it upon themselves to absolve themselves of sworn duty to their country, because they knew of their associate's or opponent's personal transgressions and said or did nothing, the history of mankind would be pathetic, regressive and probably over by now.
We went through this with the lynching of Clinton, for admittedly lying and covering up and spending an inordinate amount of time (along with Congress and the Supreme Court) dealing with the infidelities he committed. In the meantime, our true weaknesses as a government and a country, went unchallenged (economic bubble, Al Qaeda, investor protection, etc.).
Today we are in the same boat, slinging political arrows at one another when there are BIGGER FISH TO FRY. This is sad, personal fallibility being dragged into the public forum for political entertainment. Foley, Hastert, the Catholic Church, Democratic spinmeisters, they all have done some level of wrong (varying levels, albeit).
But I sure as heck didn't hire the Speaker of the House, or the Justice Department or other members of Congress, or the Supreme Court, or the President (notice all of these people are paid out of my paycheck as well as yours!) to go jerking around with the Beltway Soap Opera of the Week, while Iraq and Afghanistan and Palestine and Darfur and Iran and N. Korea go raging into larger and larger global fires.
The guilty have resigned, the complicit have apologized or shown contrition, Congress must move on with the business of the day, to defend, protect and advance our nation with the President's guidance and the people's support. Let's be adult and aware of what the heck is going on in this world and stop CONTINUALLY falling into the remote control sandtrap laid out by the info-tainment industry that cares not a whim about the social and economic chess pieces aligned against every American man, woman and child at this very moment.
We F**Ked up by fawning all over the Monica Lewinsky story, while Rome (or in this case Kenya/Tanzania/USS Cole) burned. If we do it again, we are as stupid as the hypocritical Europeans think we are.
MOVEON.YOU should be a new website dedicated to laser-beam focus on the issues most important to America today, and Foley's Follies aren't one of 'em!

A bunch of them should resign,
murtha:publicly calling Our soldiers murderers b4 they were ever charged.
berger: stealing government documents while the 911 commission was going on.
carter: disgracing Our country
demmicrap stud: having sex with a minor
jesse jackson: adultery fathering babies while being married to another woman and him a preacher
clinton: having sex with a YOUNG intern in the oval office while he was President of the United States of America.
I can go on and on but I'm sure every1 knows how sorry the dem.party is.
Foley stepped down and resigned, so calm down take a deep breath and let the law work, Hastert is Speaker of the House and that shouldn't change unless he has broke the law!

effectively NO! what's the ingredient of having a political communicate board, or for that count the different style of communicate board, if concerns would be unable to be reported (dare I say argued) in an grownup style. I had a posting pulled because of the fact I used the be conscious 'penis' - my penis became into not being pulled, you realize, however the question became into.- i became into instructed that it became into not Yahoo! that objected, yet somebody who had 'raised' an objection to my question! great Brother or Little Sister? Now which you pose the question of censorship; why would not Yahoo grant an grownup-basically website? Any inane questions including: "What would desire to I gown my dolly in this night" might at recent bring about a suspension. This, in turn, would desire to enable such young ones to 'think of' for themselves, rather of dropping each and every physique else's time! My blood tension is growing to be now - I had extra valuable sign off!

If it is proven that he looked the other way when Foley was breaking the law, then yes he should resign. But first, the proof please.
