i am on workmans comp now i went to the doctor monday he said you can go back to work now but i had 2 surgery i am still having pain in my shoulder so my lawyer has file for a 2 opinion with the industrial community they have approved it for me to go see another doctor but i have not heard from that doctor about seeing me so i was wonder if workmans comp will stop my check each week until that doctor agrees to see me my lawyer said i will keep getting it but someboby told me that since the doctor release you that is it no more checks but i still have to be rated that what this other doctor is going to do if he will see me i was wonding if i will still get my check each week until the doctor calls me thanks for any answers my lawyer is not much help but i have signed a contract with him can not fire him now if i do he is 250.00 a hour

If your doc says you can go back to work, then the weekly checks will stop.

i was also on workmans comp i had surgery on both wrist from carpal tunnel and i did get paid for the time i was off only 2 weeks cause i felt fine to go back so that was my decision i still had my weekly check ups and the dr said if i ever have some kind of pain or problems due to my surgery i can always go back and see him but he made sure that i felt ok befor he released me back to work .in your case you are still in pain so you can go back to that doctor or pick a differant one of your choice . but by you going to your own doctor your job can get in trouble cause they didn't give you the proper treatment .well to make a long story short if you are not ready to go back to work dont let them force you they just want close the case cause unless your well they have to keep your case open but dont go back untill your ready good luck .
