ok, i got a new fuel pump and every now and then randomly, i turn my ignition and it will turn and turn and turn, and after a few minutes you usually hear the fuel pump kick on and it will crank fine. now the fuel pump wont turn on at all and its only about 6 months old. someone told me it was my fuel pump relay, but another told me my car didnt have one.(both car mechanics, oh in TN lol) my question: does my 93 honda del sol have a fuel pump relay, and if so where is it located because i checked the haynes book and didnt find anything about it. and if its not a fuel pump relay what could it be.thank you in advance!

Ok. there is a few reasons why it is not running
#1 reley ( yes it has one) it is in the fuse panel and it is marked fuel pump reley
#2 The fuel pump fuse. Again in the fuse panel.
#3 It has a bump switch , This switch will cut off the fuel if you get bumped to hard. How hard is hard, I did one where a shopping cart hit the back bumper and it tripted this switch.
Check the manual as to where it is. Thy put in all over the car and depends on the make and model.

yes-everycar with an electric fuel pump has a relay on it-this will be in your fuse/relay box underneath your hood (usally on the wheel well)on the lid of it it will tell you what fuse/relay is what-sounds like the relay just might be your problem-lift the hood and check it out-hope this helps

I believe it does but it might not be called that. Some relays energize a lot more than one thing.
