properly you probably did ask! familiar British accent?? what's that then? i'm a Scot I dislike being classed as 'British' ! seem at your answer from some one which truly thinks Britian almost received international conflict II unmarried handedly? Thats familiar British , they truly had a confusing job preserving the Scots out of england. The allies received the conflict, which consists of the individuals. no longer the 'British'!! in fact more suitable than all and sundry the Russians received the conflict, how grateful were some thing of the allies for that??? They were plotting to handle Stalin!! properly i'm satisfied I were on condition that off my chest. i think extra perfect now.

I am not at the moment.

I am ashamed of the violence and the lewd drunken behaviour of our youth.
I am ashamed of the politicians with Blair crusading around on Bushs shirttail and doing his damnedest to ruin education.
I am sorry about the various bits of Britain that are looking more and more likely to go their separate ways. When we got together as Britain nobody got the better of us but if that's what they want then so be it. All I ever hear from Scots these days are racist comments anyway.

So no the only decent thing at the moment is the green and pleasant land although most of the dark satanic mills have gone.

I agree with the things that make you proud about being British ... what makes me sad to be British sometimes is people's ability to overlook someone in need ... Example, an old lady feel today in the street, and by the time I got to her and helped at least 6 people had walked straight past her ... okay it's not just the British, it's some human beings, but I felt absolutely disgusted at them today.

Not a lot. I've always been a socialist, but I don't understand how people can be fooled into thinking New Labour is a socialist party, when their policies are obviously right of centre and their government gets into bed with the US version of the BNP. OK the reign is drawing to a close, but I recently got into a discussion with a right-wing Swiss MP. I told him I was a foreigner, he asked me from where. 'The UK,' I said. 'Oh, that's OK,' was the reply, which was nice of him. He then went on to praise the Blair government, 'even though it's socialist.' 'Socialist!,' I exploded. That really made me think, because that particular party is to all intents and purposes bordering on Fascist.

I agree with you entirely in your choices! I would also say the diversity of our history and landscape.
The amazing industrial, social and natural history we have. Our creative arts and industries, some of the best writers, artists, music and theatre in the world hail from Blighty. Our famous wit and the amazing diversity of our language, regions and peoples.
I am not so proud of our Imperialistic History and the vile whiffs of racism one often smells these days which is sadly in abundant evidence on this site at times.

Very little these days. I think Britain should be no more and split into 4 separate nations. I think of myself as Welsh not British and I'm sure most english people prefer to be english, irish as irish and scottish as scottish. How many people actually refer to themselves as British unless filling out formal documentation.
