Want a usually high paying job with a more than likely chance of working in the private field...only to possibly get laid off in cut backs? Take the Electrical Engineer.
Want a job that provides steady employment, good pension, medical benefits and a husband that if he's weak may succumb to alcohol abuse, ego boost, erratic work hours and stress....take the cop.

Tough choice...good luck.

If he were my fiance I would definitely push for a career as an electrical engineer; if he were a cop I would worry constantly. However, ultimately it is his (and your) decision; you wouldn't want him to spend the rest of his life in a job he hates.

Electrical Engineer!

More Money, less danger and engineers are less likely to become arrogant, condescending jerks. I was a cop... girls chase after you like groupies. Even ugly cops have girls throw themselves at them... Temptation has a tendency to wear a man down...

So if you want to keep him... tell him to be an engineer

If you want to lose him... tell him to be a cop

Oh yes.... Cops have one of the highest divorce rates... gee I wonder why. lol

Whatever he enjoys better definitely, but if he is already going to school for the electrical engineer, I would stick with that.

I wish him luck in his decision... and congrats to both of you on being engaged!
