My wife has been an R.N. for about 27 years. She's a charge nurse in I.C.U. She makes around $29.00 an hour. Most R.N.'s start out at 15 to 18 dollars an hour. It depends on where you live, and if you want to be a travel nurse, or not.

it depends where you work. I am a registered nurse in Cleveland and I think Cleveland is the lowest paying for nurses. I am a new grad and I make about $40,000 a year in the Neonatal ICU.

Not nearly enough -- I'd like to see a nurse make 80K a yr. without overtime.
