I was suppose to start my period on the 21st of Sep. Had drove 21 hours to get home was gone a month, my husband was not with me until the day I was suppose to start. I know you can get pregnant on the day you are suppose to start if you haven't already started bleeding. I have not been with any one else. And he was fixed in January.............. I know a vasectomy isn't 100 percent, but it is really dang close. And well.... with lack of sleep and driving 21 hours with three little ones in the van. I was pretty stressed and tired...... But that has been a week ago........... And still no period. I took a test Last Monday on the 23rd and it was negative. And am almost afraid to take another. Just want to believe it is stress related. Please help me out.

is your period usually very regulated? like it comes every month like clockwork? or is it irregular to start with? stress can absolutely make you miss a period...I know I never get them regularly, so I have actually gone like a month or two without getting it and wasn't pregnant....it really depends on how your normal cycle runs, but YES, for sure, stress can make you miss your period and you won't be pregnant. if you are scared to take a test, wait another month. if you missed two months and are normally regular, girl, I"d say you are pregnant. goodluck!

Yes, stress can cause you to miss periods or start later than normal. It is not unusual to miss periods every once in awhile. If your test is neg. you shouldn't worry. Also, with your husband getting fixed, you shouldn't be pregnant, unless it didn't take.
If you haven't started in another 2 weeks, do another test and contact your doctor. You don't say how old you are, but if you are old enough, you could be starting perimenopause, which is known for irregular periods.
