How on earth can you not see past the bonnet of your oversized jeep?

These storms are not because of farting animals they are natural events, there have always been hurricanes, and it is very likley that there will always be them; they are however being increased becuase the amount of crap the US (and others, I fully accept that) releases into the atmosphere is having a much larger effect on worldwide climate, forming more prolific and dangerous huriicanes. which all people have to endure. the world is experining major climatic shift - by 2100 one third of the world will be desert - is this due to the odd giraffe - or carbon dixodie being pumped out by 'devoloped' nations?

Yes they have animals pumping out methane - but surely the cow to make your burger released methane too? also those animals are wild, so therefore in my mind at lease they have a much greater reason to be here. you, me, and anyone also reading this post also releases methane. it;s oh so easy to blame things, people and places you have never seen, but it is not a giraffe making immense storms - its us; and who is more likley to die from the effects of climate change - the giraffe, who when his (or her) habitat becomes desert will die.

If they are mis-using land then American agriculture is slaughtering it - enomous amounts of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and much else becides goes onto the land to get cheap, plentiful crop - with little care for the enviroment. did you know it takes 100 barrels of oil to produce a cow under US agriculture? in Africa, bearly anything, yes they have problems with erosion and desertification, but that is linked in with global warming, and an explanding population, the later of which the US faced in the late 19th/early 20th century. built into the belief of numerous African societies is the repect for the enviroment, i sense from your "not my jeep" that you have no care, maybe your garden, of the enviroment past your back gate.

We can still stop climate change, but somethign has to be done now. just needs some politicans to stop licking the oil and car companies *** - and do something. it needs everyone to work together to cut greenhouse gas emissions - and do something, it needs people who cannot see beyond thier huge jeep with air-con on full and there massive fuel guzzeling fridge to change there ways AND DO SOMETHING!!!!!
