They are trying unsuccessfully to divert people from knowing the truth. It was, and is Hasterts responsibility. He chose to cover it up.

It's amazing to me. Why not just say, 'oops, a bad apple snuck in. We didn't know. We'll investigate and see if we can change our ethics procedures" and then do it! This is supposed to be the party of personal responsibility isn't it? And that Hastert should just quit for the good of the party. He was going to step down after only one more term anyway.

ALL they have ever done is BLAME and WHINE that it is someone elses fault. It's just like with Foley and his lie of defending KIDS, the same with Family Values, Morality, and all the other lies the retardlicans tell. SAY ONE THING, DO THE OPPOSITE. Just like when bush took office and made that infamous "We now have MORALS back in the White House" or the "I'm a UNITER, not a DIVIDER. SAY ONE THING, DO ANOTHER. What does it take to wake people up in this country? WHAT? OH and just like another FAMOUS quote "THE PARTY OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTY". SAY ONE THING, DO ANOTHER.

The person who brings in the trash should shoulder the blame for bringing in the trash...

The Republicans are still trying to take the trash out...

I think that they know that could hurt the Republican party come time for re election. It looks great LOL for a grown man that the Republican party sponsored to be a pervert. The Republicans just want to try and shift as much publicity off of them as possible. Who votes for these guys?

Because the Democrats were aware of what was going on and fed it.No one brought it to the speakers attention and now they release it right before election and start calling for resignations.
Well we now know what happened and we want the resignations of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

"are you on welfare"
this answer makes about as much sense as your answer to me

I also find it weird that when people of opposing views offer real links to other pages, they get a thumbs down, when all they are doing is stating a fact...
why can't anybody else look at the OTHER side of things? like the above said, WHY did they hold this information if it was known!!?

because they are holyer the thou and above any reproach they like to cover up their mistakes and hope it will go away. they are fast to scream about the past mistakes of the democratic party's Representatives but refuse to call down "one of their own" what they don't get is even though they feed us crap a spoonful at a time is, is that it's still crap they are trying to feed us!

The Democrat Party has always been the party of perverts.
If Foley became a Democrat, he would become an instant hero.
Remember Clinton?

(The fact is honey, the Republicans blamed no one but Foley. Some one fed you some bull and you fell for it. They probably make fun of you.)

Unlike the liberals the republicans are not blaming the democrats. They are blaming Foley. Which is where the blame should be. They are also blaming NAMBLA which of course is a protected club of the Democrats and the ACLU. So that may be where the blame is coming in.
