Well I know it sounds horrible and judgmental, but if they wanted the money for food then I’d go buy them a sub and a drink or something. I wouldn't give them cash only because I wouldn’t want them to go buy booze or drugs with it

No because most of the people I see holding up signs at Wal Mart in my town are fairly young and I figure if they can stand up and hold a sign they can get some sort of job.

I actually saw a woman in her 20's holding a sign asking for food and money and she was about 10 feet from a fast food restaurant that had a big sign saying they were hiring!!!

Of coarse. But it also depends on the situation as well. If you see the poor dude on the street with bad clothes, and suddenly notice him a while later walk to his fancy car then the answer is no. Its always good to share God's word by helping the people in need, plus one day God may bless your way as well.

On occasion, I have a select few bums that I actually like, they're good people, believe it or not. If a person has a sob story about their baby or sick parent I always reject them, because I didn't make the baby and their parents should've had insurance.

I wouldnt because they'r ejust gonna spend it on drugs or beer, also
in the enlightment era there's a quote that meant that the strong ones survive and weak ones die. also they should apply for jobs instead of begging. you can give them food instead of money. that's the best alternative.
