a democratic operative posing as a journalist had them and according to initial FBI sources foley was possibly being blackmailed.

I had the name and source but cannot locate it, found it on google yesterday morning and will keep looking and post later. If you really want the truth google is a pretty good start.

The truth is dems knew about this for at least a year and did not expose foley. The question is why? where they doing it merely for political advantage at this time and if so is that a crime?

I find foleys behavior disgusting but also find it from a legal perspective no different than clitoon, except of course foley has not lied yet under oath.

I expect more from the congress and the president than to be having illicit relationships with employees. I find it even more reprehensible that dems knew about and sat on it for over a year.

The latest from the FBI is there is no crime, the other person was of legal age at the time of the messages and the only possibility at this point of a crime is blackmailing foley.

I think when the FBI is done this is going to be a huge embarrasment for the dems, right before the elections, basically it is going to backfire.

America does not condone foley or clitoon, but they will also not tolerate blackmail and political hijinks and anyone who thinks that is going to be in for a surprise.

One thing that I find interesting, is that the FBI investigated Foley at about the same time the first e-mails came to the attention of the Speaker of the house. The other thing I found interesting, was several news organizations, had seen those e-mails, and didn't see any story there.

What I want to know, is how long did the organization that managed to get the news medias attention, know about the IM's? Some of them date back to 2003.

This whole thing seem to me to be more political, than about righting any wrongs, or protecting the kids in the page program.

I think there are probably some democrats as well as republicans that knew about this. Someone leaked it to the press. I agree they should be investigated as well.

You recommend "implied" sarcasm, no longer "inferred." A speaker "implies." A listener "infers." And as far as what you concept "democrats/liberals have been all approximately". . . you're incorrect, there, too. i will basically communicate for myself, and those buddies whose evaluations i in my opinion comprehend, yet I somewhat do no longer seek for low age limits on sexual consent. And as a former instructor, i'm nicely conscious of the folly of letting babies make grownup possibilities (regrettably, the way little ones are those days, there is not any longer plenty "letting" to it). as far as being professional-gay. . . nicely, particular why no longer? this is none of my enterprise what absolutely everyone does in his/her homestead, as long because it is between consenting adults. final, yet no longer least--the meant Democratic features you have listed have no longer something to do with the reality that Foley inappropriately abused his place & means with those youthful adult males. He won't have had sexual relatives with those boys, yet he crossed an extremely genuine line between what's suitable & suitable and what's scummy & immoral.

Adam you can't say there is evidence without citing it.
Everyone on Capitol Hill probably knew, you know how gossip spreads, why are you trying to turn this around? it is a republican cover up.

Absolutely! A pedophile by any other name is still a pedophile. Party affiliation aside. If Democrats try to cover up this kind of secret, they need to gone too.

It will take time to know who knew what and when. We must be patient until the facts are known, then act.

yes they did, there is a reasonable amount of exidence to show that the democrates were aware of foleys transgretions just as much as the republicans were.
