I am using wireless system at my home and every while my internet conection will get discunected.I am using Lynksys PcI wireless card.Dont you think the problem is between lynksys and D-link router???.By the way my internet connection is SBC yahoo DSL.

What channel are you using? Most routers default to 1, 6 or 11. Periodic disconnects generally mean interference from other wireless nodes, cordless phones, or microwave ovens. Cordless phones tend to affect the lower-numbered channels, while microwave ovens create noise on the higher channels. Try channel 4 or thereabouts and see if you have the same problem, check what channels other wireless nodes are using, and see if you can correlate the interruptions with phone or oven use.

i had that problem too but for me it was a weak signal to my modem from the cable. you should see if you can get a friend to bring over there computer and see if it happens too so you can determine if its your network card or the router. but the best thing to do is just hit the reset button on the wireless router or unplug it for a few seconds. if its your router it should bounce right back
