We've been dating for 7 months and right now he's been in bootcamp for 2 wks, and it's been tough. He was really the only person I knew here, since I moved from another state. Also we were really close. After he returns from bootcamp, he has to leave again for 17 wks, and after that, we have no idea of where he'll be stationed.

if your soft like me the short answer is no. i cry often especially when i've had a bad day and he's not here. but to be very honest our relationship is fantastic and i think that is because we cherish our moments together. and another good thing is you get to visit your friends more than most when he's away but they understand when he's home they don't see you for dust.
Its a hard life but i would never give him up as much as when i miss him i get angry coz he's away so much and hate his job but we are females we are allowed to be loonly sometimes. yes it sux but you have to deal with it as much as i never want to I just have to.

Hon, first of all you can't make a man your reason for life or your whole meaning to life. When you love him, it feels like he is all you need. But, if he is in the armed services he will be away from you now and then. I would suggest you learn to take care of yourself and not focus on him so much. Get some hobbies, exercise, get out and make some friendships. Work. Get a good education. As you age you will realize that you need to be the best you to be able to love those around you.

Your man will come out of boot came a very strong man. He will need you to be strong and loving. He will be traveling and be sent over seas off and on. If you love him you will not be bitchy because he is gone. You will need to make him happy to come home to you. If you can't deal with him being gone then you need to find a man who will stay put.

If you love him you will learn to deal the best you can when he is gone. And you will create a good life for him to be in when he is stationed in a place you can be with him and he can go away with strength knowing you will be there waiting for him with a loving life.

Many in the service get divorced becasue they can't deal with the time apart. I believe if couples make the decision to make the relasionship work while apart, they have a good chance to have a good happy long term relationship. It will take a great deal of dedication and trust from you to live this life with him.

You have the choice

The time might seem endless right now. but when it is done you will be thrilled to have such a fne man in your life. And you are possibly are the woman who will be his soft place to fall when he is in the country.

God Bless you

Yes it does get easier. My fiance lives about 1500 miles away.. he moved while we were still dating and it was extremly tough in the beginning but as time went on it made our relationship stronger by making you realize how lucky you are to have him be apart of your life.

Find a new bf.....

The first thing you have to realize is that he will change. he will no longer be the boy you remembered. It's likely that he will also meet girls during this time... while on pass. Do you really think he wants to committ... he is on a journey of discovery and like it or not.... it's unlikely that a relationship will work.

it will be okay...i know it will be hard but one of my friends is away and they have been together for 3 years....when he comes home just spend as much time with him but make sure you are supportive of his decision.
