Unfortunately you can't remove bad words from your parrot's vocabulary, and he probably likes the reaction he gets when you say them. My suggestion would be to teach him a whole bunch of new words so maybe he will forget the bad ones. Also, don't give him any positive reinforcement when he swears, you may even try a squirt bottle or some other type of non-painful correction when he says something bad. Good luck!

Unfortunately, there isn't a "magic' cure for bad language, basically he needs to be re-conditioned, whatever you do, do not reinforce it in any way, by laughing or telling him no, etc, IGNORE him ,and when he says things you enjoy , praise him lavishly. He may come out of it, but grays are very smart and have a mind similar to a 5 yr. old child. Good luck!

Im assuming you have an african grey. I also have one and he learned the word, "s.hit". Yeah but he was saying it on and off for 2 weeks until my parents said thats that. I taught it new words like "beautiful, pretty, and hot" and he stopped saying it lol. Now hes good enough to look at someone and say "hey beautiful" "Hot mama" and "pretty lady" :D

Tell him a lot of GOOD words, ignore it when he says the bad ones. He likes it when you react to any words, so react a lot to the good ones.
