I just love fried worms ,I tried them once on a trip to China.Does anyone knows why chinese restaurant don't serve fried worms outside the country?they're delicious!

I guess you are talking about crispy fried silkworms, the larvae. During the process of collecting silk from the coocons, they got the dead worms and think of a way to cook the worms as food. I heard that it's a very rich in protein. I have tried it once in China, to me, it was tasteless but just crispy, the "food" looked like white coffee beans (bigger than coffee bean in size).

You can't find this "food" in your country may be because you don't have silk industry there and not many people there like you want to order this food in restaurants.

I'm East Asian and I've never even heard about this before. Are you sure it was worms?
Because I'm fairly certain that they don't eat worms. Maybe it was a baby eel or snails/escargo- they look similar.

yeah buddy Bevis and Butt-head did it in one episode and called them seasoned curly fries.. but the feds wouldnt like it if you did for real. who would thought that eating worms and roaches is looked down on

it's against the law...i guess not all people would like the idea of going to a restaurant where they serve "different" animals
