I have a 1977 Ford F150 3 speed with a 300 straight six engine and it needs to be either rebuilt or replaced soon, I would like to know what other engines will bolt up to the transmission and motor mounts on that model?

Probably the 351w or the 351c. Maybe even the 460. You would def want new mounts though. these are going to be a little more powerful than the sixer.

if you don't want to change motor mounts or anything else, then you must replace the 300 ci engine with another one . nothing else will fit those mounts, exhaust, and such.

only another 6 unless you change the tranny too.
