Today I went to work and literally the minute i got there I got this dull anoying pain like by my tail bone. and it would not go away. then as I was standing at work I got this shooting pain down my left side of my butt and down my thigh. It's been hurting all day. will this go away? and what the hell is it?

Sounds like you have a pinched sciatic nerve. It can give you pain through your buttocks, down the back of your leg, all the way down to your ankle. See a chiropractor or a doctor. The chiropractor will manipulate your back into better alignment to take pressure off the nerve. The doctor will probably give you muscle relaxers, which really don't solve anything. But not everyone believes in chiropractors. Put ice on your low back for twenty minutes at a time until you get some help.

Your growing baby may also have shifted and pinched your sciatic nerve, which runs the length of your spine and down your legs. To error on the side of caution, call your doctor and tell him/her what you told us. He will be able to tell you whether or not you need to come in.
